Born in Brooklyn New York, raised in The Bay Area, California, DJ has been involved in door slammer drag racing for more than a two decades. As a Silicon Valley insider, his interests and expertise are focused on the software technology that powers fuel injection, data acquisition and ignition control. His race team is based in Northern California but travels from coast to coast. Over the years, the team has campaigned two 1968 Camaros, a 1967 Camaro, and a 2000 Camaro. Unfortunately, the most recent car was retired after being involved in top end crash that rendered the car largely unsalvageable.
While a new 5th Gen Camaro has been in the works for some time, the untimely demise of their 2000 Camaro, Django, means a quicker timeline for the new car. The new car will sport a similar but newer AJPE blown alky hemi, an over 10” longer wheelbase, and should come in over 400 lbs lighter. That spells trouble for anyone finding themselves in the other lane.
Stay tuned to this blog for the most update information on this team and the new build.
